Nonprofits

Nonprofits

Nonprofits across Wisconsin are doing critical work every day to build communities where everyone can thrive. Extension educators work with community nonprofits for hands-on training tailored to the needs of new and small nonprofit organizations.

Fellowship Opportunity

2026-2027 Community Fellowship
through the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies

Through the Community Fellowship, the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies (CommNS) seeks a community practitioner to serve as an advisor and participant on our CommNS team, providing meaningful input from the field to inform our programming, and leveraging the opportunity to work with the CommNS to advance their own professional aims.

The Community Fellowship is intended to create an opportunity for the Fellow to advance a project or initiative that can benefit from involvement with the CommNS and support from a student intern.  We are looking for applicants who hold a leadership role in community, nonprofit, mission-based, social innovation, and/or civil society efforts in Wisconsin and who are interested in connecting with and exchanging knowledge with the University and the CommNS.
