Workshop series for dairy and beef producers, and dairy workers. Sessions offered with Spanish language translation option! Consists of both Zoom and hands-on, in-person sessions.

Save a Calf, Save a Cow
UW-Madison Division of Extension is hosting calving workshops for Dairy Farmers, Dairy Workers (presented in Spanish) and Beef Farmers that are taught during one Zoom classroom and one hand’s on in-person session. To attend the in-person session you must first attend a Zoom session. The dairy worker sessions are presented in English and simultaneously translated to Spanish.

Stages of labor and what to watch for – when to call for help

Worker safety – cow & calf handling / needles / PPE / biosecurity

November 6th, 11am-12pm (in English and Spanish) (Registration required by October 6th to secure a translator)

Registration completed and course fee received by October 6th for the Spanish sessions, and by November 1st for the English sessions.
