UW-Madison Division of Extension & Green County Partnership
Working with Green County
Extension Green County brings the Wisconsin Idea to Green County. UW academic staff and faculty use university research–based resources to deliver programs and meet community needs in the areas of Agriculture – Dairy, Crops & Soils, and Livestock; Human Development & Relationships; 4-H Youth Development; and Community Development. Our Educators are contracted with UW-Madison, Division of Extension, to serve the residents of Green County. This unique partnership between UW-Madison and Green County assures responsiveness to local needs, reduces county costs, and provides an important link to UW resources.
Agriculture and Extension Education Committee
The Green County Agriculture and Extension Education Committee, comprised of five Green County Board Supervisors, oversee and supervise the Green County Extension Department. Committee meetings are typically on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:00 AM.
