Mike Doyle, retiring Green County Clerk was presented with the Friend of Extension award at the recent County Board meeting held on June 9th. This award has been presented annually since 1990 by the Extension Green County University of Wisconsin office to recognize individuals that have been provided outstanding support towards conducting UW-Extension educational programs in the county.
Mike has provided long term support in the areas of Agriculture, 4-H & Youth Development, Community Resource Development, and overall guidance. Mike presented to many Green County Leaders classes over the years and used to give guided tours of the Historical Courthouse. He has participated in panel discussions about local government to encourage leaders to partake in the government process. His support of 4-H Volunteers and Youth was greatly appreciated to further our educational procedures. Mike has attributed assistance with Agriculture programs offering guidance for Farm Tours, Farm Tech Days, and Cheese Days. In addition, his efforts to offer support and be the “go-to” person with any crisis happening was always appreciated.
