Building Belonging in Organizations -- Wednesdays, January 17 – February 21, 2024 Virtual – 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, visit: Organization & Leadership Development, Building Belonging in Organizations
As nonprofits and community organizations face growing challenges, it is more crucial than ever to build organizations where “belonging” is prioritized. For the individual, belonging is a sense that you are part of something greater than yourself that you value, and the organizations you are a part of see you, need you, and value your contributions. For organizations, belonging leads to deeper engagement, adaptability, and building a more resilient organization that is better positioned to achieve its mission.
Through this course, participants will:
- Gain a greater understanding of their own social identity and how social identity impacts belonging through individual reflection and group discussion.
- Gain the processes and tools necessary to measure and build belonging within their own organization.
- Gain a greater understanding of levels within systems to overcome resistance to change.
